Princeton 6 Person Barrel Sauna

A plain 94-inch, 6-seat cedar barrel at $6,252, about $1,042 a seat and 21 percent under the barrel median.

Princeton is the no-extras version of the 94-inch class: 8 kW, 6 seats, no porch, $6,252 at Finnish Sauna Builders. The Huntington is the same price and size with a canopy added, so in this pair the porch costs nothing extra and Princeton only makes sense if you prefer the plain look.

Compared with the Almost Heaven Seneca ($6,191, 82 inches long) you pay $61 more for 12 more inches of length. That is a small premium if legroom matters. It is a sound middle option for a household of five or six. Almost Heaven states a Limited Lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects; the Harvia heater has its own, 1 year on the elements and 5 on other parts. The data holds no weight for it.
